  Encapping wool area rugs.
Posted by: bmas - 07-27-2015, 10:47 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (2)

I had 7 wool area rugs to clean today. I used the cimex with some hydrox. They look great and dryer very quickly on my rack. Does anyone else do this?

  Punch and DS2 or Hydrox?
Posted by: Matt99 - 07-25-2015, 09:43 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (2)

I've been using releasit products for probably under a year now and love all the products. I have some student housing carpets to clean before move in next month . I found several units that are in my opinion trashed, however, they do not want to install new carpet at this time and want to see what I can do with it.. The stains in my opinion are beer, soda, and food stains. who knows but I know they were not cleaned or vacuumed for two semesters lol. My question is ...should I pre-spray with punch and use my 175 rotary with beige fiber pads and DS2? My thoughts were to do this, set fan and then allow to dry, post-vac, and any remaining strains I could use encap hydrox and pad scrub or bonnet??? depending on opinions here. I m looking to probably buy vario after this contract and cimex as accounts grow. Any opinions and thoughts to what process would work the best. Thanks

  DS2, Hydrox, or both?
Posted by: garyfran - 07-17-2015, 07:44 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

I am going to be testing DS2, Hydrox, and Encap Spot.  I clean a few buildings part-time, and have had success cleaning their carpets with a CRB machine.  My local jansan suppliers have limited encap supplies (or knowledge of encap), so I am very interested in switching to Releasit.  Some of the carpets have children crawling on them (leaky diapers, food and drink spills).
I will also be encapping some couches and loveseats (same children) that are acrylic/olefin/rayon/polyester.  I will use a drill brush attachment, then wipe with a hand bonnet or cloth.
Just wondering if some of you use just DS2, or just Hydrox, or have both on hand for specific situations?

  Cimex & Sprayborg

When doing high rise residential, does anyone clean first with a Cimex, then follow up with the HOSS Sprayborg to improve appearance??

Thanks,

Cool

  Putting Hydrox through Sprayborg

Is it safe to put Hydrox, or any other product based on H2O2 through the pump system of a Sprayborg??

I have often thought about doing so, but don't want to screw up the pump rendering the machine useless.

I currently put it through my Big Yella mixed with an Aussie product, at a very low ratio, (400ml 20ltrs) as an example.

With the Sprayborg bottle, about 8 litres, I would be using about 150ml of the H2O2.

Much appreciated.

Shortwun.

  Newbie To Encap Carpet Cleaning...

Hello all,

I happen to be the sales manager and client relationship manager at my cleaning company and just by chance came across the process and product while researching for something else... this has caught my eye and mind!!!

We, currently only have the regular/normal 17" & 20" orbital machines. Now, in order to support my intuition that this process can only help us in our carpet service, can we use our orbitals with our first order of sample products to test out and then I can work with the owners as to investing in the full process?

I think this will help us a great deal as we have lost a few customers due to 'non drying' carpets in time for business opening, which is a real bummer, for me and a lot of heat from clients. I think this will go a long way to alleviate these complaints in-between deep cleanings.

Am I thinking about this correctly or not?

TIA -SS3

  Coastie Engineering the Duplex

Ever have a power cord break internally?  Well, mine did and by the time I located the break, the cord was only 15 feet long.  Grrr...

So as long as I need a new power cord, why not add a feature?  One thing I've never liked about the Duplex dp420 (and may be an issue with your CRB) is how when you tilt the handle, it starts up.  If you accidentally tug the cord while plugging it in, off it goes!  Seems like there should be a swich to prevent that.

I bought a switch with a red pilot light and wired it in line.  When on, the red light glows.  "Red, you're dead."
Attaching it with zip ties through the case so's not to weaken the handle by drilling holes worked well.  Then I added a male plug pigtailed off the switch.

Now I can use any extension cord to power it.  I have a new 50- footer, but if it gets damaged I can use one off the van without having to unwire anything.  Today the elves are off and away to scrub a hoarder's house (sad story there) and they are all excited about the safety feature. God love 'em, they are eager to go use it!

  Okay, once more on protectant
Posted by: Act One Cleaning - 07-14-2015, 11:01 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (2)

I have a nursing home account that gets lots of spills and spots. Their carpet cleans up beautifully with HydrOx, but now the owner wants a protectant, so his staff can swab things up a little better.

How should I handle this?

  HydrOx- Wick back

I made i commercial carpet with some heavy coffee and water spots. I pre sprayed with HydrOx and then used the shampoo dillution with my 175 and microfiber pads. The spots came out after the first pass.

I finished using the SuperZorbs pads to get some more dirt and moisture.

As i left the client on friday night there were no spot anymore.

Today i called him and they were satisfied but one coffee spot wicked back.

Did i use to much solution or what could be the reason?
