  Purple paw prints
Posted by: Act One Cleaning - 08-13-2015, 12:15 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (3)

So, here's Yours Truly in a home with plush carpet. Having vacuumed, sprayed with DS2 and let dwell a while, I'm ready to get on it.

Holy Glorioskies, there were purple paw prints all over the place! They just appeared during the dwell. Figuring they might be soluable, I used a self contained extractor and away they all went.

I guess the DS2 acted as a reagent, reacting with something the dog tracked in one day. There was no trace of the footprints before we started. Anyone else have this happen? Any idea what the dog tracked in?

  Yay for Rodney

Rodney has located new gears for my 11-year-old Duplex! The old ones shattered suddenly (well, 4 out of 13 did) and it is my main workhorse. Knowing that I can fix it feels GREAT!!!

  Kickin' it with DS2
Posted by: Act One Cleaning - 08-11-2015, 12:10 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

So there I was, trying to remove edge filtration with some product and a busy elf. He'd scrubbed along the baseboards to no avail, so I grabbed the backpack sprayer and laid a shot of DS2 down. Then I kicked it in with my sneaker and what do you know? It all let go, hung in the foam and I sucked it out with no fuss.

Of course, most of you already know this sort of thing, but I thought it was pretty cool. Also, sneakers don't scrape paint and you don't have to bend over. Best part is, you always have two of them and the elves don't misplace them! WOW!

Where is the dadgum phone number?

Maybe it is the iphone, but I can't find the company number. I was hoping to spend stupid amounts of money, too...

  Concrete buffing

I did a job for a client that has some concrete that is scuffed up. Anyone buffing concrete with their cimex?

  A moment of panic
Posted by: Act One Cleaning - 08-01-2015, 12:48 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (16)

Opened my case of DS2, found the brochures, the pen, (no button), but where were the redhots!!!???

Gathering my wits, I calmly removed the bottles one at a time.  There in the bottom of the box, was the little bag.  Then Herself commandeered it and I never got a single one.

But the important thing, reader, is that you keep your head.  Don't panic...

  Encapping Stairways
Posted by: Shane - 07-30-2015, 09:32 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (12)

I have some really soiled steps in a commercial entry way to clean. I would normally HWE this but there is not convenient parking and I hate using the portable. The drill/driver attachment doesn't look like it would be aggressive enough and I don't think I can justify the expense of the Duo. What other options do I have?

  hy-drox & ds2 ?
Posted by: cleanclub77 - 07-29-2015, 10:05 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

I have a medium blue glue down carpet to clean with my cimex. Can I pre-spay carpet with hy-drox and clean with ds2 in tank? I would like to brighten up carpet a bit. Undecided

  Title/Description of Service??
Posted by: SS3PBM - 07-28-2015, 11:09 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

Hello all - I wanted to find out what others describe this service as e.g. carpet cleaning or carpet maintenance or ???

The reason I ask is, when we make the opportunity to get up and running with this service, I want to be sure that we name it appropriately and not confuse what it is with 'deep carpet cleaning', if you understand what I mean here.

I want to make sure my marketing plan is on target with the market I want to approach without mis-leading the potential clients and etc.

TIA - SS
