175 and residential carpet |

I have been cleaning commercial carpet with my 175 for a couple of years. My truck mount recently died and I am wondering about the viability of using my 175 in residential. I would like to hear from people who have done it. Pads or Bonnets on cut pile nylon? I am just interested in experience with a rotary not Cimex, oscillating equipment or CRB.
Yes, I could research it but time is of the essence-- got a call last night.
Thanks to all in advance.

Referral Program for Commercial Accounts |

We all know how important a referral program is to the growth of a residential cc business. Does the same apply in the commercial market? Do any of you have a referral program specifically for your commercial accounts/prospects? We are currently all commercial, but don't have a specific referral program. What are your thoughts? Do you think it could be a real sales driver?

Encapping oily carpets |

I did my last restaurant last night with my truck-mount. I used up the last of my enzyme solution. Trying to conserve what was left of my enzyme solution I used reg prespray on the part that was not that greasy. after doing the other half with my enzyme I had to re-due the part I did with the reg prespray (as the enzyme really popped the color and looked so much better) Q -I wont be doing anymore restaurants without a truck-mount but I do have a country club that has a couple very large dinning areas. Is there any encap solution I can use to get that pop in color. Iv been encapping it, but never seam to get that pop? Its not like restaurant greasy but it must still be alot of oily residue.
Ps. I know I will be missing out on restaurant and tile cleaning without a truck-mount but even though I made good $ last night I really hate doing Restaurants, The manager said they have 2 more Restaurants they want me to do, But I told him I'm switching over to a low moisture system and wont be equipped for this type of cleaning anymore (he happens to be the previous manager of the country club) But to call me when ready, I know some good cleaners I can hook him up with. Also,my brother helped me last night, and on my very last pass the waste tank filled up and the machine turned itself off, SO MUCH on que that it gave us chills as to have been a sign Its time to move on, and i'm on the right track.

Who uses Thumbtack? Can someone give a overview of how the system work and what price point. And is the bid price by the room or Sq feet?
When you win how do you get in touch w the customer?
How many jobs per months average bids or wins?
Thanks

I just put together a series of 5 short videos showing the BrushEncap CRB machine and the Vario Orbital machine. I loaded the 5 videos onto this page. Take a look...
http://www.releasit.com/vlmdemo/index.html
- Video-1 Shows us adding additional soil to a commercial carpet that had average soil before we began.
- Video-2 Shows the BrushEncap machine removing dry soil from the carpet.
- Video-3 Shows the 5 gallon Penguin Sprayer.
- Video-4 Shows how well the BrushEncap machine cleaned a heavily soiled carpet.
- Video-5 Shows the Vario machine cleaning carpet in Shower-feed mode and in Spray mode.
Thought you guys might like to see the Vario and the BrushEncap in action.

Commercial carpet cleaning |

I have a commercial glue down carpet to clean. Its a light blue and I cleaned it about a year ago. I used my cimex, fiber pads and release-it encap. I really couldn't tell the difference after I finished. I have that same carpet to clean this weekend. I would love to see it look a lot better this time. What can I do different this time than last time to make it pop? I also have a hot water portable extractor. Please advise.

Responsible cleaning makes sense!
April 22nd is Earth Day
How much water is there on, in, and above the Earth?
As you know, the Earth is a watery place. But just how much water exists on, in, and above our planet? About 71 percent of the Earth's surface is water-covered, and the oceans hold about 96.5 percent of all Earth's water.
But water also exists in the air as water vapor, in rivers and lakes, in icecaps and glaciers, in the ground as soil moisture and in aquifers, and even in you and your dog.

All Earth's water, liquid fresh water, and water in lakes and rivers.
Spheres in image show:
(1) All water (sphere over western U.S., 860 miles in diameter)
(2) Fresh liquid water in the ground, lakes, swamps, and rivers (sphere over Kentucky, 169.5 miles in diameter), and
(3) Fresh-water lakes and rivers (sphere over Georgia, 34.9 miles in diameter).
Encapsulation has a low impact on the environment.
Uses less water:
A single gallon can clean 300 square feet of carpet.
No waste water is discharged:
Vacuuming of dry soil recovers the encapsulated soil.
No gas engine or carbon monoxide:
Encapsulation equipment runs on a single 15 amp electric circuit.
Bio-Encap is certified by the EPA as safe for the environment.
