  How would you handle this?...
Posted by: msc1917 - 03-15-2014, 08:23 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (9)

Recently our cat past away, however, just before this for about a week she was urinating and pooping (diarrhea) in an upstairs room in our house. It smells like it too! Seeing as I am about to take possession of a new vario op machine, I am curious if I could solve this cleaning challenge without a truck mount. I do have a truck mount as well as a spot claw, however, given that this is in my own home, I thought it would be cool to learn how I might approach this if I did not have a truck mount. So that’s the question, how would you approach this from low-moisture standpoint using bonnets. Can it be done?

The best way to get grease out of restaurant carpet

  Microfiber Bonnets
Posted by: encapman - 03-12-2014, 11:57 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (15)

We have two flavors of microfiber bonnets MicroGlide & MicroBeast. We feel that these bonnets can handle the lion's share of what a typical cleaner may encounter. Microfiber is a unique animal. It brings excellent soil suspension and easy cleanability to the table. Here is a brief overview of what we are offering...

We have the MicroGlide bonnets that are safe for just about any carpet. They're gentle enough for most cut pile carpets. On the other hand, cotton and synthetic/blend bonnets tend to get pretty grippy on the carpet fiber and can sometimes distort delicate pile if you're not careful. The MicroGlide's are referred to as "gentle bonnets" yet they still clean extremely well. Their soil capturing properties are outstanding - because that's the nature of microfiber.

We also have the MicroBeast bonnets. These bonnets have scrub strips and provide more agitation than the MicroGlide bonnets. Obviously they're not as well suited for extremely delicate carpets. The MicroBeasts are a terrific all-around bonnet for commercial carpets and a large percentage of residential carpets. They absorb soil extremely well, just like the MicroGlide bonnets. However they also have additional scrubbing action. The MicroBeasts have become an extremely popular bonnet since we first introduced them.

Between the two (MicroGlide & MicroBeast), these bonnets cover the full spectrum of just about anything you might encounter. We have a gentle bonnet where it's needed. And we have an all around scrubbing performer for everything else.

Here is our MicroGlide Bonnet:

And here's our MicroBeast Bonnet:

The BEAUTY of microfiber is the fiber itself. Microfiber has the ability to trap soil within its microfiber strands. Each strand of fiber has the ability to capture and hold soil more efficiently than cotton or other synthetic fibers. And since the base fiber is made from polyester it also rinses very easily. Microfiber bonnets are extremely durable too! We feel that microfiber is the perfect bonnet material.

Here is an image that illustrates the benefits of microfiber over cotton or synthetic fiber. As you can see, microfiber is a superior cleaning fiber. Because microfiber has more surface area, it has the ability to absorb even more soil than cotton. Microfiber is also gentler on the carpet than other fibers because it has such a small denier; 1/100th the diameter of a human hair. Bonnets made from microfiber are also easier to launder than other types of bonnets.

  Wool rugs
Posted by: Tom Ingram - 03-11-2014, 08:47 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - No Replies

A customer ask me to clean his rugs for him. When I got there we found out they (3) are hand woven wool. They have a natural backing as well.

They are spotted with grape juice, tea, some coffee and 1 big spot of dog poop. The black/red photo is the pad it came with. I'm not cleaning it.

I just purchased a crb and have Releasit ds2 and the dry compound. I also have my TM and Wool Perfect from Bridgepoint.

Last time they were cleaned was about 15 years ago. When they got them back they were misshapen.

Your thoughts?[Image: useteru4.jpg][Image: 6emebeju.jpg]

  crb & oreck orbiter combo?
Posted by: sincere - 03-10-2014, 03:55 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (12)

I have a Host CRB that Ive been using as a stand alone. But sometimes I need deeper cleaning. I was thinking of using the CRB to agitate and the Oreck Orbiter to extract with pads. Do any of you use this process or method? Which pads do you suggest for extraction for residential? Commercial? Thanks guys!

  Carpet testing with the Cimex
Posted by: captaincarpet - 03-09-2014, 01:33 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

I'm sure I remember that the Cimex was lab tested to do no damage to carpets, and I've also seen the inclusion of encapsulation with a Cimex as an interim method on a manufacturer's warranty, but is there any 1 link that will take me to a place with all this information already gathered?

  Encap Punch question
Posted by: Duane - 03-09-2014, 07:55 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (8)

I recently used punch as a traffic lane pre spray followed by encap basic on a light colored Berber with great results! Could I use punch in my SprayBorg as my main juice without pre spraying first with OP extraction?
